The book is suitable for children aged 8-12. Together with the accompanying <a href=\"https:\/\/togetherhuman.org\/en\/was-wir-tun\/sensibilisierungsprojekte-in-der-schweiz\/aufklaerung-und-bildung-fuer-kinder\/arbeitsheft\/\">Workbook<\/a> and the short film <a href=\"https:\/\/togetherhuman.org\/en\/was-wir-tun\/sensibilisierungsprojekte-in-der-schweiz\/aufklaerung-und-bildung-fuer-kinder\/kurzfilm\/\">&#8222;Ein aussergew\u00f6hnlicher Schultag&#8220;<\/a> , it is the ideal tool for dealing with the issues of flight, migration, asylum and integration in a child-friendly way.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The story was written by Rashid Abend. It stands out from many other new publications on flight and migration in that it reflects the actual global migration situation. Thus Souraya does not flee to Europe - only a small part of the refugees do so - but follows a path that is representative of many more Syrians.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>With this closeness to reality and the factual accuracy behind it, the book aims to give children a differentiated view of the subject and at the same time be entertaining.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8222;Warum Souraya ihre Heimat verlassen musste&#8220; wurde auf Wunsch mehrerer P\u00e4dagoginnen und P\u00e4dagogen entwickelt, die sich realistisches, aber kindgerechtes Arbeitsmaterial erhofften, mit dem sie Themen wie Vertreibung aufgrund von Krieg, Flucht oder das Leben als Fl\u00fcchtling behandeln k\u00f6nnen. Die Geschichte wurde von P\u00e4dagogen und einer Ethikerin und Expertin f\u00fcr Bildungsmaterial gegengelesen. Ein syrischer Fl\u00fcchtling pr\u00fcfte den realistischen Gehalt. Obwohl die Erz\u00e4hlung fiktiv ist, liegen ihr vertiefte Recherchen und ein Besuch mehrerer Schaupl\u00e4tze durch den Autor zugrunde.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Diverse Medien haben das Buch vorgestellt und positiv dar\u00fcber berichtet, darunter die &#8222;Basellandschaftliche Zeitung&#8220;, die &#8222;Aargauer Zeitung&#8220;, das Elternmagazin &#8222;Fritz und Fr\u00e4nzi&#8220;, das Magazin &#8222;Bildung Schweiz&#8220; oder der deutsche &#8222;S\u00fcdkurier&#8220;.  <\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Auf 42 Seiten schildert unser Kinderbuch eine Fluchtsituation aus der Sicht des jungen syrischen M\u00e4dchens Souraya aus ihrem Heimatland Syrien nach Nordjordanien.
